Christmas 2014 – Stout

Hi, just bottled a stout for Christmas; first beer I brewed since March.I used the MidWest Supplies recipe for an Oatmeal Stout:

At bottling, I split the green beer into 5 different batches:

G1: 2 gallons of beer, added 2 ounces of sugar to carbonate.  8-24 ounce and 2-12 ounce bottles.

G2, 3, 4, 5 – about 3.5 gallons, carbonated with 32 ounces of black cherry juice.                                   This is about 10 ounces per gallon of beer.

G2: The above mixture, 1-32 ounce, 2-24 ounce, and 2-12 ounce bottles.
G3: G2 with cocoa nibs added.  1 “nib” per 4 ounces of beer.

G4, G5 – added cocoa nib extract
1 ounce of nibs, 2 ounces of vodka, soaked overnight, strained.

G4: The above mixture.  3-24 ounce, 3-12 ounce bottles.
G5: G5 with cocoa nibs added.
